Why do we exist?
We exist to love God, love people and see lives and communities transformed.
We do this by displaying God’s kindness to one another and Mid-Sussex (and beyond) by making Jesus known, serving our community, demonstrating God’s love and making disciples.
What are our values?
At The King’s Church we are WHOLEHEARTED in all that we do because God deserves all that we are and all that we have. Our relationships are defined by GRACE, which means we always look for the good in one another. We are generous in HOSPITALITY because we want every person who connects with us to feel like they have found a home and are valued and accepted. We are COURAGEOUS because we are called to bring God’s transformation to people and places.

We are passionate and committed to all that we do because everything we do is for the glory of God. We are professional without being perfectionists, we strive to do things excellently whilst allowing room for mistakes – failure is not fatal – and we go above and beyond because God went above and beyond for us.
John 13 v 34
Our relationships are to be defined by grace and encouragement will be our default language. We will choose to see the best and be generous towards one another. We will be quick to forgive and demonstrate grace when we upset or frustrate one another because God has lavished his forgiveness and grace upon us.

We are generous with hospitality and pay attention to the detail to ensure that everyone, whether they engage with our church, know that we have thought about them and their experience with us. We will go above and beyond to make people feel at home showing kindness, respect and dignity to all indiscriminately because God has so generously welcomed us.

We recognise that the Christian life calls us to step out of our comfort zones and trust God. We will be courageous because there is a world to love, serve and reach and it will require us to do things we have never done before. We will not settle because we believe God’s plan is to make all things new starting with us and flowing through all of creation.
