Giving to tKC

We believe that God is unbelievably generous.

As people who are made in his image we want to reflect this generosity in all areas of our lives.

Members of The King’s Church Mid-Sussex contribute to the life of the church in many amazing, important and unseen ways. One of these is by giving their money to support the ongoing life and ministry of the church.

Giving, however, is not purely an administrative necessity. We believe that as God is generous to us, we, as a church, want to demonstrate Godly generosity in response. In the Bible the apostle Paul writes that, “This service that you perform (giving) is not only supplying the needs of God's people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God.”

Giving is an act of worship, as important as any other, making a clear statement that God is in charge of all areas of our life – including our cash. There are many times in the Bible when we are taught on giving, one of the key passages is found in 2 Corinthians 9:
“Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.”

These verses teach us that giving should be:
1. Full of thought – not random or haphazard but thought through
2. Full of faith – an act of the heart not a religious obligation
3. Full of joy – not reluctantly but cheerfully in response to God

We give to support the ongoing work of The King’s Church Mid-Sussex, as well as expressing a commitment to support those in poverty both at home and overseas. In the last couple of years we have given to work in Zimbabwe, Kenya, Bulgaria, New Zealand and other projects around the globe.

There are a number of ways to give to The King’s Church Mid-Sussex. One is during our Sunday morning gatherings where each week we give people the opportunity to give as part of our worship. Another is by Standing Order, setting up a regular gift to the church through your bank. Click here to download a Standing Order form. (This forms goes direct to your bank).

If you are a UK tax payer, please download and complete the Gift Aid declaration form as well. Click here to download a Gift Aid declaration form. Through this scheme the government repays to us the tax you have already paid, therefore increasing your giving. Please return this form to the church office: The King's Centre, 33-35 Victoria Road, Burgess Hill, RH15 9LR.

You can now also donate smaller amounts via Mobile Phone technology. Simply text 70070 with the message TKCG01 £XX with amounts up to £10 and your donation will be made.
